The Coggeshall Community Bus is a unique service run and operated totally by volunteers. The bus provides morning and evening runs to and from Kelvedon railway station, as well as local midday runs to provide an invaluable transport link around Coggeshall. The bus operates on a not-for-profit basis, and is completely self financing. The current air conditioned Mercedes vehicle entered service in September 2017.
Passenger Usage Survey
Many thanks to everyone who responded to our recent survey. The results showed very little current requirement for the service, with many reporting that they expected to return to commuting in the next couple of months, as their companies would be making the decisions on staff returning in October/November.
The recent change of government advice back to "working from home wherever possible", has therefore changed much of the anticipated return to commuting, and it is therefore unlikely that we will be resuming the service in the immediate future.
We are constantly reveiwing the ever changing Covid19 situation, and are continually maintaining and modifying the vehicle, so that as and when the current situation changes, and there is sufficient demand to restart the service in a safe and secure fashion for our passengers and our volunteer drivers, then rest assured, we will restart the service at the earliest opportunity.
In the meantime, keep yourself and your families safe and well, and we look forward to welcoming you as a passenger again very soon.
