The Coggeshall Community Bus is a unique service run and operated totally by volunteers. The bus provides morning and evening runs to and from Kelvedon railway station, as well as local midday runs to provide an invaluable transport link around Coggeshall. The bus operates on a not-for-profit basis, and is completely self financing. The current air conditioned Mercedes vehicle entered service in September 2017.
Our annual A.G.M was held on Thursday 19th November. Obviously, one of the major items discussed was a potential schedule to restart the service. The current plan is to restart the service in a limited form in early April, when the current furlough scheme comes to an end. We are continually reviewing the ever changing situation and will provide more information on a potential restart of the service as and when it is available. Rest assured though, we will restart the service at the earliest opportunity, once we are sure that all safety considerations of our passengers and volunteer drivers are fully met. In the meantime we are maintaining the vehicle to keep it ready for service and will shortly be equipping it with Covid seat screens as well as a sanitisation station
In the meantime, keep yourself and your families safe and well, and we look forward to welcoming you as a passenger again very soon.
