The Coggeshall Community Bus was started in 1982, and being totally run by volunteers, provides a unique service, which provides morning and evening commuter runs to and from Kelvedon Station, as well local midday runs, to provide an invaluable transport link around Coggeshall and to Kelvedon. The service operates on a not-for-profit basis, and is completely self financing. The current air conditioned Mercedes bus entered service in July 2012.
New Bus arrives in September
Our new bus will be here next month decked out with smart new graphics. To introduce the new vehicle, we will have an open lunch event at Randfields Brasserie, where you can view the new bus, and enjoy a bite to eat and a drink. Everyone is invited, and more details of the event will be published shortly. Also with the new bus, will come a newly designed web site, and we are currently working on some other very exciting projects, to make your use of the bus, much more enjoyable. So watch this space for more news.
More Volunteers Still Required
We have now had a few more volunteers, but we still require more. If you can spare just a few hours per month to help keep this vital community service running, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Or click here for more information. Driving the bus is easy, and very enjoyable, so come on, give it a try, and help keep the service running.
